If that nem is a sebea. Get ready for a HUGE nem. I'm in a 30 gal and moving 2 a 75 very shortly. And it killed 2 rainbow Aussies like urs. Green and red is still alive but barley also a straight rainbow that's returning 2 outerflesh and not just it's mouth.

Got a nice looking birdsnest the other day and some more rock. Got a blasto the other day also.

Plan will be to load up the new rock on top with sps. Waiting for the lfs to get some good peices. I feel like they just have some generic stuff. I want some cool stuff with bright colors.

Update:
Corals still mad at me and so is my anemone! Light changes are no joke.
Can see my green long tentacle got bleached. Hes on the bottom right.
Some other corals did not make the LED tranisition either. One of them being the birdsnest. I just can not keep those for some reason. Always die. Booo. Other was my cyphastrea, hoping it pulls through, all bleached, but seems to have its tissue still.

Torch and duncan are still mad at me also. Torch better pull through though. Be upsetting to lose him. Always out, but he only stretches his tentacles about an inch or so. Duncan is finallybstarting to get fat again.

This little light cant be that strong can it? I got it turned way down. Well way down to me on the daylight setting is RGB 60% W 40%. Gonna leave it here for a bit. Everything seems to be filling out at this level.

Go from 4 HO 48in T5's to a single Current Orbit 36in LED? Really that much brighter?

Its the LOOP system by Current USA. I got their pumps also.
Nice setup i think. Pumps are really small, but really powerful, its nuts. I have them turned down to 40% one on each side and then the tiny one that came with it on the back wall.

Anyway, when everyone looks happy and stable ill get some new pics of my corals. Got some new stuff in there also.

So i ended up getting a second light. Ended up being an expensive upgrade. To late to turn back now. I got a 48" light for the second one though, so it goes from side to side. No more shadows on the sides. Everything is finally bouncing back also. Got some acans looking bad, not sure why they are all nasty. Prolly gonna die. 7 out of 8 frags are good though. Birdsnest, gone, again. Stupid birdsnest.
Trying to let it be now.
Got a few new things in there and moved some stuff around. Got a couple pics here. Gonna fill up nicely. Still have some acans on my mind. LFS had some blue and yellow acans, i was in love, but they wanted $90 for the little colony. If it is still around on pay day its mine.
Been trying to get into this sps. I got a few now. We'll see if these lights are strong enough. Everyone gives bad reviews on the current usa lights, but im having good luck.

Anyway. Heres my tank as of today.

Havent shared this one. Wasn't sure if it would survive or not.
Christmas Tree worms i picked up a few months ago. They dont come out as much anymore. I need to find them a good shady spot. The little blue guy on the bottom is always out though. Hes my buddy.
The coral they live in is finally starting to get a green tint to it.
All the worm holes have a worm in them, you can see them suck back in. They come out about 2mm or so in full light. They just dont seem to care for the LED lights. When the lights start to dim they start popping out. Pretty fun to watch. Definitely recommend these guys for people who like to stare at their tank.
Also bleached the crap out of my new sps i got, pretty much dead. Just a brown one, so no worries. Was hoping it would turn into something cool, be one of them hidden gems. The one in front also got pretty pale, ive had it longer and is putting up with my shenanigans, but its on watch status. Thats what i get for going camping for the weekend haha.

Im not a huge sps fan. I do like the looks, but i really like to see my corals move in the flow. Would be nice to have a few in there though. Which i guess i do now.

Ive lowered the lights a lot!

You read and hear people say that certain lights are no good or not powerful enough, yet they burn the crap out of your coral...my common sense is telling me something is fishy about the light market...

My sps is a good 12" from the light, 8" down from the top. Any suggestions on that? Good spot? Bad spot? Lots of flow up there. My hydnophoria seems to be diggin it, but wasnt as fluffy with the lights up higher. After i turned them down they popped back out.

Current light settings.
Daylight-
White 30%
Blue 60%
Red/Green both 40%

Sunrise/Sunset-
White 15%
Blue 30%
Red/ Green both 20%

Anyway. Talk to you later. Happy reefing.

Lets show some ugly shall we.
Ive not had the best sump setup. Still dont, but its better. I was running a crappy set of led lights under here. Chaeto didnt really grow at all. I went and got one of these clip on lights from home depot and the sump exploded. Had this chaeto for probably 6 months. Was the size of a baseball, now its all over, probably tripled in size!
Should have got one of these lights a year ago. Been under there about a month or so. Getting it all kinds of nasty. Should see all the pods. Big ol fat ones too.
I just have a 60w led bulb in it.

Just some pics from this morning. Seems like its about time to start dosing. My alkalinity has been dropping and making my acans mad. Im sure thats whats causing it. Nothing else out of wack. Been watching the fish. Almost wondering about these cleaner shrimp. They like to hang around this particular section where my acans live.
When i first checked the alkalinity, the API test took 7 drops to turn it yellow. Been dosing this Seachem Carbonate stuff this week and it now takes about 9 drops. They have been getting fluffier as the week goes by.

SPS frags i had also kicked the bucket which is fine. They are to much drama for me.

Anyway, enough talky. Here are a few pics of my progress.

P. S. -Still really like this Current USA Orbit Loop setup. Basically just takes care of itself. I am going to get the DC return pump they have so i can also integrate that. Its the only part i dont have yet.
