Anybody know if there has been a new ban on Welsoni's?I know where I can get like 8-9 of them right now,but my LFS says that they havent been avaiable for like 2 months now,said cites isnt allowing them anymore and that all Aussie Acropora are soon to be shut off from colection.

Anybody else heard this,I havent and want to check and see if I have missed somthing....

We have not heard anything like that yet about Wilsoni. Australia had been looking strongly at Acanthastrea sp as the exports of them over the last 2 years have gone up by a huge amount. I would not be surprised to see them limit or shut down collection on Acans in the near future. All of the other types of corals I have not heard any concern over recently from suppliers or the government. We just brought in a shipment of Acropora from Australia this week with no problems at all.

I see,very odd,I dont expect the Welsonis to be avaiable for ever,I know that,but I really dont think I will see a change any time soon,I guess I need to get some good ones now before they actully do go out of collection.

The aussie acropora I figured will be around for a while,I really dont think that they would shut them down at all,but I may be wrong.

Acans might go soon,I have heard that,but I havent heard of anything about the other 2,I just thought I would ask,I think its kinda odd this person told me this,but who knows.
