I dont keep track of bulb life.
I purchase new once a year'
Bulbs are 400 watt mh
What a difference in the amount of light
How ofted do you replace mh bulbs ?????

The rule of thumb is MH yearly, Actinics semi anually if run 8-10 hrs a day, I run my actinics about 2hrs a day so I do them about every 2 years, they are not as important as MH. If the spectrum shifts on MH it can cause detramental effects. Some MH last only 6 months, I have read some DE last less time then SE MH. I am triing some Chianese MH I like the color but heard they are only good for about 6 months, but for $13.00 I can buy alot of them compaired to 70-90$.

I hear 6-12 months, depending on how long you leave them on. I have mine on for 6hrs a day, so I just do 9 months.

So if I run them 10 to 12 hours a day replace every 6 months
that makes cents

your mh photo period should be 8 hours...... and change you bulbs every 9-10 months, to help avoid a spectrum and intensity shock,

Or you can go with LED's and not have to worry for 5 years:)
