Have a Bellus and a captive bred Regal Angel. The Bellus has been great. Went out of town for a week on holidays in Dec and came home to eaten scoly by the Regal. I moved all the scolys to the side tank as the Regal is just too cute and one of my favorite fish.

Really? That’s awesome news. CB alternatives to the wild ones are always good to have. I hope they can get cracking on Flames, always a classic, Brazilian Flamebacks, and the more the better. The blue tail Aurantonotus beat Acanthops look wise.

That is a beautiful fish! How long have you had him? Any lps or zoas in your tank he goes after?
I’ve had the Majestic Angel for six months and so far no trouble with Zoas or torches!

I'm a big fan of the Genicanthus Angels. For some reason, they don't seem popular... likely simply because they don't have the intense coloration of some of the other angels. IMHO, they're quite beautiful, in a more quiet way... and they really are 'reef safe'. Never had an issue with any of the group, and I've kept most of them.

Currently have a female Spotbreast and a male Lamarck's angel. Both still fairly small, maybe just passing 4 inches at this point. Fat, happy, and healthy.

You had a Flameback before did you? How long have you had it for and is it still in your care?
Flameback are aggressive angels. I did not want to keep a harem of these because they do not form a tranquil harem. They constantly fight among the self. Nothing that cause significant injury but I like a tranquil, relaxing fish tanks. They are very beautiful and active little fish.
I gave them to my aquarium maintenance service when I took down my office tank when we moved. I did not re set up that tank.

I’m definitely leaning towards the more reef safe ones just to play it safe, but I am so tempted by several of these that have been posted in the thread, I may just end up having to try one. But I was definitely considering a bellus or watanabei angel.
