I can't stand fish fights, so the fish I've picked for my aquarium are pretty chill. Looking for the same with corals for a beginner. I don't like the idea of chemical warfare and stinging corals that can eat my fish/shrimp/snails.

What are some peaceful corals? One that won't nuke your tank, hurt your fish.

I have GSP so far, and it's cool.

Most soft corals aren't agressive. For sure the most agreesive ones are LPS corals. But you'd have a lot of bad luck if any coral would kill your fish or shrimp. Maybe Catalaphyllia or some anemones... But corals aren't that murderous creatures if you aren't a plankton:upside-down-face: To avoid coral wars just don't put them close to each other:)

Something to keep in mind though, is that ALL corals are competitive for space. So if they don't/can't attack neighboring corals, they will still try to physically overgrow/smother them.

almost all of them are fine if you give a little space

Avoid anemones

I'm not familiar with any (hobby) corals that will "nuke the tank or hurt (a healthy) fish", this is misinformation.

The majority of hobby corals are peaceful if a few inches of space are left between them, only a few corals have very long sweeper tentacles that will kill everything it touches. Just like your fish, you have to pick adequately peaceful corals.

IME mushrooms and zoas are the best
Zoas - the palytoxin kinda worries me. I don't want to have to "watch out" for it.
Mushrooms - I've read that hairy mushrooms are semi aggressive? I guess semi-aggresive just means they grow over other things. But I've also read they release some chemicals and some people run charcoal to take care of that?

I've never heard of mushrooms bothering people before, but that is just me. Like others have said, just about any coral you put in your tank will be safe.

I dont know about that, but my mushrooms are very peaceful and has never moved from their spot. About the "releasing chemicals", I dont know about that, but I do have charcoal in my canister filter ever since I got it. About zoas, idk too, I am kinda of a newbie though I know that the mushrooms and zoas in my tank and the one for sale at my lfs is completely safe. My mushrooms have never grown bigger or multiplied, but I cant say the same for zoas. The fastest growing zoa colony in my tank has like 3-7 new polyps every month. Idk if that is slow, but for me it is fast.

ALL corals fight in their own way, you just need to be diligent and plant corals in a way they don't sting each other.
Families close to each other and space between corals that will sting.
