I just picked up some cerith snails from my LFS and as I was getting ready to add them to my tank I noticed these little dots in the water.

They seem to be free-swimming and look slightly red. They're maybe maybe half a millimeter in size and get quite animated when light is shined near them, and seem to be attracted to the light.

I haven't added the snails to my tank yet, and would like to be able to ID this before adding them, in case I need to not.

I am not a flat worm expert but they look like flat worms to me, I would wait for a good answer before adding to tank. You may want to find a new store to purchase from as well(if they are flatworms

Definitely flatworms, had them recently on a torch coral pre-dip.

If you can get a wrasse, youll need it if you put them in the tank

I only have a 15 gallon, so a wrasse isn't going to fit.

For now, I have the snails in QT and have separated them from the dots. I'm going to keep an eye on them for a little while and see if more appear in the water with them.
