Than you’re doing something right!Interesting! The majority is just the basics and ammonia and like I run my tank! But I see more and more coming in with all sorts of trace hmmmm… I have A&K and use it during the summer time when I can’t change water.. haven’t really noticed a difference with or without it…![]()
I like seeing others who do the 1/2 strength Kalk in ato. I like the ph boost and the cal/ all addition.25% weekly water changes, 40 ml of AFR,and half strength kalk in the ATO 2 gallons daily.
I actually started doing it to boost the ph. Initially I had to back off the AFR but im back to where I was then.I like seeing others who do the 1/2 strength Kalk in ato. I like the ph boost and the cal/ all addition.

These are strictly trace elements. You still have to dose calcium, alkalinity and mag… this is a supplement for people who don’t change water a lot or at all honestly. Basically reef moonshiners in a nutshell if you’re familiar with that at all.. difference is A&K pretty much doses all “required” elements between the 2 vs moonshine or captive8 etc where each element is individual and you gotta send in icp test to see what’s lacking or over board etc. each element comes in a individual bottle and you dose according to icp test and programs they have outlined.is A like alk or ash? Same! I need @Lou Ekus to release that 5gal pail in the states! lolZeovit, DSR, Triton, etc. If I was to try an additive solution it would probably be DSR. Doesn't require ICP testing and has been around since 2009 give or take. I recall Zeovit coming out earlier though.
I am pretty happy with AFR though. Hoping we get a larger powder container here in the US...
