35ml a day AFR broken into 6 doses, and ammonium bicarbonate for me. I also have been cycling zeobak and aqua forest probio f and s. Purely anecdotal, but i do think they have been helping. I think that my tank being largely frags that the bacterial boost is helping.

So what’s everyone seeing with the kz faktworm stop? I didn’t notice a difference really but I see tons of people use it! I backed off when I got Dino’s and haven’t tried it again myself.. I know it’s loaded with iodine as people who use it report it on their icp tests.

Never had a high iodine alert even when I was tripping up on it. Honestly I bought a ton of it when I thought I had em and I liked the reaction and extension. I think they develop a sort of immunity to it because they don't slime up anymore. In a nutshell just getting rid of what I have left.

Most folks don’t consider feeding the fish as dosing, but that, a calcium reactor and haphazard plankton additions are what gets dosed into my system.

Same here, that's why I payed those filthy thieves for the icp's but it never hit high on me.
Now that I think about those were the same crackers who said my p04 was 2.6 and my salinity was 32.3. :zany-face: QUALITY

On my SPS tank currently 30ml AFR daily because it's easy. I also have ammonim bicarb on a doser but once it brought my NO3 up to 9 from 0 I stopped daily dosing and just pump 10ml in once and while. I have to dose PO4 once in a while also to keep it off 0. I manually dose that. I try to keep things as simple as possible. I do 2g WCs once a week so I can vacuum detritus that collects in one corner.

I hate that you have nicer coral and all growing well, and still yet dose less than me lol. I am dosing 40ml AFR in my 60B.

I blame the stylos, birdnest and this absurd Elkhorn colony that grows faster than Xenia!

Currently AFR with biweekly water changes. I do feed various coral foods consistently and occasionally some aminos. Also decent fish stocking with relatively heavy feeding.

Soon to start slow dripping kalk at night in the near future to help reduce overnight pH swings and hopefully increase growth. AFR in day and kalk at night is my plan.

I dose Kalkwasser at night and BRS 2 part with Tropic Marine part C during the day. Moonshiners for trace.

@KrisReef brings up a good point, so it’s worth an edit: feedings
- 5 times a day feed frozen to the equivalent of 3 cubes per feeding with garlic and selcon mixed in.
- 4 times a day flake, times 3
- 2 sheets of nori a day
- (12/.10)

On doser:
-pushing my 818 SSEnto its limits
- 400 mil of 3 part (s. hydroxide <8.5 s. BiCarb >8.5)
- 4 gal of kalk
- 14 mil of amino
- 32 mil of A&K
- 400 mil of Part C
- 5 mil manganese
- 84 mil fluoride
- 10% weekly AWC
- I have No3, PO4 and vinegar on dosers but don’t currently use them (vinegar is there for remote emergency use if something happens with the kalk or the Sodium Hydroxide.

I do Moonshine, but my ICPs are mostly green and corrections are NOT (thanks for the edit poke) cumbersome. Other than fluoride and manganese I don’t put much weight in the remaining recommended daily’s. I really think A&K gets the job done for the most part. My daily’s consists of 1 drop, yes 1 drop, of the 6 little dropper bottles. I feel like that is the preset default to make you feel like you are doing something.

I just stopped dosing it. I use the full zeovit system (reactor, Zeobak, Zeostart, Pohl’s Extra, B-Balance, Coral Vitalizer, Sponge Power, Coral Snow, Aminos). I use Brightwell for Potassium but otherwise all KZ.

I was using Flatworm Stop regularly and wasn’t seeing great PE. I chalked it up to the fact that the tank is only 9 months old but since stopping the FWS, I’m seeing better extension. I’m not ready to draw any conclusions because other variables could be at play. Most notably the tank continues to age and my alkalinity swings have become smaller and overall parameters continue to become more stable. Without a controlled “with and without” comparison, I’m hesitant to draw any definitive conclusion but I certainly haven’t seen any negative effects since discontinuing it.

I should also note that I dip all corals and quarantine all fish so I’m not sure I have need for a product designed to strengthen corals against flatworms but, if I ever do, I wouldn’t hesitate to run it for a few months.

Your comment about iodine is interesting. I wish KZ would just tell us what’s in them. In my tank, my ICP tests always showed slightly low iodine when I was running FW stop regularly. I haven’t done a new ICP since stopping the FW stop but will do so in a few weeks.
