I like to think my system is simple, I feel the Ammonium made the biggest difference in the tank -
Daily - AFR, Bacto-Balance and Ammonium Bicarbonate
Weekly - 10% Water Change with NYOS salt

Feed - Autofeeder of pellets twice a day of a mix of NYOS Goji and True Algae, Larrys Reef Frenzy once at night

Fauna Marin RTN/STN X (I dose 1/3 suggested amount daily

I’m using this in addition to Acro Power and Coral Booster by Korallen Zucth.

I noticed in the past when I used RTN/STN X for dying corals, all my acro health would improve as well as boost growth. The product works great for corals that are dealing with Necrosis but it also does wonders for healthy acro.

Because of this, I started dosing 1/3 bottle suggestions daily and I’ve seen incredible results especially for acro colonies after I frag them.

Tbh I’m not sure if I why the results are so good or what’s in the bottle but the difference has been clear ever since I added this product daily.

Anyways, I just wanted to share my experience, been keeping sps for about 20 years.

Here’s a few colonies thriving as an example

Is there a thread similar to this that covers everyone’s nutrients? I know that’s another hot topic people that think P04 is good others that think it’s a killer. I like to be .1 and 10
I believe there is! Mine are all over the place lol.. last time I checked them they were low. I don’t play with ratios.

Water changes, Seachem Reef Fusion 2 part, and PO4.
Hey, a question. How do you that Sea Chem Fusion? I ask because I was using Two little Fishes C- Balance, but been thinking about switching to Fusion.

I use it because my sps tanks have a very high alk draw. Reef fusion is very concentrated, and I couldn’t match it with any other product. I pay wholesale on it, so the savings weren’t there for me to just use more regular 2 part like the BRS products. The only thing to remember is that it’s not a 1:1 ratio of the Reef Fusion 1 & 2. It’s more of a ratio of 1 : 2/3rds, with the Reef Fusion 2 (alkalinity) being the higher dose.
Reef fusion 1 is a blend of calcium, magnesium, strontium, boron, iron, manganese, and molybdenum. While Reef Fusion 2 is the alkalinity supplement.

Nice. Do you dose in tank or separately?

Maybe he's microdosing? I am hoping he does lol
I have a bottle lying around and thinking I could just do his regimen and see.

So I’m using roughly 10-15 ml per day, often I skip a day just because I manually dose this. My water volume for my SPS reef is only 100 gallons so 1,000 liter would probably last me 3 months or more.

I might switch to dosing twice a week just to stretch the bottle but at the moment it’s not breaking the bank.

Thanks! I will try 5ml for now and titrate up to 10ml to see how it goes. Thanks for the tip!

I’m that guy 😂

Also wanted to mention my frags heal much faster and I’ve had fewer loss especially if I make smaller more fragile frags. Don’t get me wrong, my frags healed just fine without using this product but I definitely loose less and they heal faster

Okay, I forgot the word "like" in that. I meant how do you like the Sea Chem Fusion. So, full disclosure, I was using the C Balance. I was going thru the ALK WAY faster than I was the calcium. This led to me having a surplus of C Balance calcium because they can not be sold separately. Not wanting to waste it, I tried the Sea Chem Fusion of just the ALK. I now have that dialed in perfectly for my tank to maintain 9.3 ALK. BUT, I am now almost out of that surplus of the C Balance calcium and I was thinking I might as well switch that over to the Fusion as well. Is there a big difference in the calcium as well? If so, I can just go the process again of getting the calcium dialed in. Thank you for your help with this.

For all you shiners in here I have a question.. what differences have you seen in your tank? Is it growth or colors or?!?!?
I have seen great color, and no loss in alk or any fluctuations in SPS. Growth is good in some SPS not all have the same growth rate

There is more things then just Trace Elements. Like lighting, balance and flow that encourages growth and color as well.

I’d imagine there’s not much difference… I think it’s just a feel good for most people like in the back of your head “insurance” you match natural salt water levels so it feels good! I’ve seen some tanks on shine that are are gorgeous and I’ve seen a lot more without shine just as nice if not nicer.. and yes trace isn’t everything I don’t think it means much personally.. lighting and flow will always be number 1 followed by nutrients and then maybe trace if that’s your jam.

A nice tank could be achieve different ways it will depend on the reefer which rout to go.

Started using the concoction from CRT. I hope to see results in the next six months. Bought a six pack ICP test too for testing every 2 months.

I am focused on acro coloration right now so I am thinking I'd dose properly with missing trace and keep it within NSW range.

I bet we could DIY FM RTN/STN X for far less for those that may want to test it.

They share the ingredients:
Water, zinc, chelators, and pyridine-2-thiol-1-oxide

Dosing zinc is easy enough on its own. Finding the last ingredient may be the harder part. @Randy Holmes-Farley any ideas?

Update on the floride:
Dosing 2 weeks now, 2 drops per day in my 75 (2/3 recommend dose), i have noticed a slight increase in basal growth. Some of my frags that havent done much have started puddling down and off the plug. But, hard to say they wouldnt have done that anyways though.
