Last week I discovered a gorgeous red mantis shrimp hitchhiker (probably O. havanensis, red morph). I've hemmed and hawed and decided to keep her in my display tank. So now she needs a name and I'm struggling with ideas.

What do you call yours?

I've wanted one for a while and I'd probably name it Rocky or something boxing related if I got a peacock mantis and Stinger if it was the stabbing variety.

I use repeat names to represent where I am at.

All O.scyllarus/Peacock Mantis are called - Juggernaut (1.0 or 2.0 etc etc etc)
All L.maculata/Zebra Giants are called - The Leviathan (1.0 or 2.0 etc etc etc)

These are the 2 species I tend to only "work" with now as I find the rest just to 'small' for my needs (and cameras)...

I'm up to Juggernaut 23.0 and The Leviathan 7.0 (90% never died but were released to the very spot they were captured from once they had 'served' and before you freak out...this was a 100% natural system, the tanks were situated meters from the beach and used the beach for water, NO CHEMICALS were ever used in the systems ever, just live rock, live sand and macro algae, all found in the waters of that beach...including their food ;) ).

Due to his immediate decimation of my fire fish I have renamed mine Hannibal.

I do acrylics and want to do a cube ffor a future mantis. I did some AIO cubes that hold 6.5 gallons inclusing back part. But something tells me that will not be big enough.
I am collecting and begging for your expert-eze on this.

I called mine Fred. Was a hitch hiker in some rock. I have no idea if it's a female or male. Just seemed like a good name.
