What have you done to keep things fun?

+1 on getting kids involved (grandkids in my case). My four year old grandson helps with the tank whenever he is visiting. Not only are you spending time doing something together and building a relationship that will keep them on your side during the terrible teen years but you have the opportunity to teach them life science and respect for the animal world. Kids are like a sponge when it comes to learning and the younger the better.

I've always wanted to try growing rainbow monti on a large flat tile and then carving my name into it :-P. Or shaping my initials in epoxy and growing star polyps on them like Areefcreation did lol.

I collect sps but now I have no room so gonna have to be very picky Look for only the best of the best

and try to get your other half and kids to get into it too.. even if it means you gotta get a couple pulsing xenias . do it cause it makes them happy.. =)

Very true, my wife enjoys it probably more than I do. Whats the deal with women and Pulsing Xenia..?

I have had the help of my son for over a year, when we go into the LFS he knows more about whats there than the employee's (he just turned 3) and frankly he loves the tank so much it keeps me interested simply keeping it pretty for him.
