Have this long thing that’s sitting on top my xenia. It can grow in length or become more wide. It can also slowly move

To me it looks like a medusa worm, peanut worm, hydroid or sponge?. Kind of hard to tell from the picture. Could you get a better focused pic? Does it suck back into the hole? Does it look like its breathing/pulsing? Does it move like a worm? Maybe compare it to the suggestions I made, see if it's close.

Does it look like its breathing/pulsing? Does it move like a worm? Maybe compare it to the suggestions I made, see if it's close.
I’ll try to look these up. For trying to take a better picture. It ended up moving and I currently can not find it anymore. If i can find it I’ll try to take a more focused picture.

After looking at some pics it looks like a medusa worm

These carry the same risk as sea cucumbers ... They are good guys, until they get stressed or sucked thru a powerhead. Then you're likely looking at a complete tank disaster.
