So if you have your first tank set up already and you managed to talk your S.O. into a 2nd tank, what would you do with it? Let's assume it's a 70-gallon...just for conversation's sake... Let's assume your first tank is a 225-gallon acro-dominant mixed reef... What would you do with the new 70-gallon tank??

With a 70, probably an LPS-heavy tank. Too small to get all the FOWLR fish I'd want, and too big to do something like a seahorse/jawfish/macro/gorgonian tank (I'd probably want a 60 cube or so). Probably lots of sand bed for meat corals and rocks for euphyllia. Might even try gonis.

I’ve always wanted to try either a MacroAlgae tank or a BTA/ clown tank. But since it will never happen, I won’t have to decide between the two.
Did just that this week!

Or 6th tank? Lol! I need another reef display, I only have one sps display, a fowlr, and three frag tanks. I’d go with a mixed reef or species only tank. Octopus? Sea horses, etc?

Guess we are tied! I almost plumbed up a frag tank and passed you last night. :)

Wow. That’s a tough question. My tank is a mixed reef, so I can have pretty much anything I want.

I’d only get a second tank as a QT. My stock is all clean, and I’m reluctant to risk bringing in a parasite that might mess that up.

I have 4 tanks, so I blew past 2 long ago. Would like to try a jellyfish aquarium sometime, but I don’t need a 5th aquarium.
