So long story short... I have a 40gal breeder tank currently that has been running since December. Has 40+lbs of live rock with an incredible amount of biodiversity. Also have 2 clowns, 2 peppermint shrimp, crabs, snails. A duncan an anemone and a cespitularia. As well as sand substrate. I purchased a 125gal aquarium to upgrade to. Sounds great, right? Well, the issue is I'm battling osteoposis dinos in the 40. I have it mostly under control dosing microbacter7 pods live phyto and Neonitro. Also UV sterilizer. This has been going on a couple weeks and while its gotten better its not completely gone. Of course, I'm eager to set up the new tank but I don't want a dino outbreak in a 125 gal. How would you proceed in moving to the new tank?
Thank you for any thoughts.

If your eager then I say go for it. I took me 5 months to beat dino's, then it took my tank another 6 months to recover, so you might have a very long wait. I agree with above, if room allows, get the new tank and rocks cycling if possible. Good luck

My dinos actually went away shortly after this thank the Lord himself!!! Those are something I do not wish on my worst enemy! I ended up draining all the water out of the 40 gallon and moving it to the side, then refilled it with the same water so I could move my 125 to that spot. I'm now filling my 125 and once its all filled and everything is running smoothly I will move all the livestock and live rocks over. Should I be worried about my anemone moving to a new tank even though im moving all my live rocks and sand over? Ill be rinsing the sand really well with saltwater before I put it in the new tank. Ill also be putting almost all of the water from the old tank into the new one.
The 40gal is now basically directly in the walkway so I cant leave it there too long.
