What's going on with this hobby

Holy crap vendors are getting crazy with chalice prices. I know some of them are hard to get but one thing I notice is that my LFS gets some of the craziest chalice I ever seen chalice that will put some of the chalice that vendors sell to shame and they are selling the colonies for 150 to 200 but holly crap 700 for an eye that's just crazy.

It is crazy but if people are willing to pay it you cannot blame them for commanding the high prices. I personally like finding cheap treasures that either need to color up or the LFS doesn't know what they are sitting on and you can snag it on the cheap.

Well I need to know your LFS. Usually just the same color morph. Zero rainbow chalices there. Buy one, put a fancy name on it and start selling frags for 50 bucks 3 eyes. That will help the hobby and yourself. I personally would buy one

Is in Clarksville at the moment they have one chalice in there that is sick ill take a pick of it. Is peach and pink and it has a couple of blue lines on it

Not going to get into a price thread again but I wanted to share this:

People getting excited over a chalice frag the size of a dime. Never has that been considered a chunky frag and it should never be. But people have been deluded into thinking that a dime is a big frag.

Rant over buy what you like etc etc.
