Whats the chalice trick

I can grow anything in my tank but chalice. They survive but dont grow. Have tried moving them all over the tank. Now they are in the shade but still not looking like most of you guys chalice. I have sps, acans, favia etc... and all do very well. So what's the deal? I have 30 3w crees and 2 18w t-5s for lights. mg 1350, calcium 400

I spot feed mine and they grow at a decent rate but for the most part many chalice are slow growers. My cheap chalice grow super fast in chalice terms but the more expensive ones grow a ton slower.

Other than reg tank params I find my grow much faster in higher flow. I target feed them too.

+1 feeding, watch the light - but many of them grow slow at best.

What do you consider higher flow? And would it be possible to list which chalices grow better in higher flow? I've always found it to be the opposite..
