styrofoam boxes for shipping? I've looked around and only found them one place.

If your shipping the styrofoam inside a cardborad box you can do what the guy I just got my corals did. He used squares cut out from a sheet of foam and formed a foam box inside the cardboard box. Worked out very nice and should be easily available at a hardware store. If you need I can take some pictures so you can see exactly what I am talking about.

did he just tape them up? i'm guessing they held heat pretty well than still?

Go to your local vet and ask them....or even pharmacy.

make them yourself its easy a sheet of styrofoam is cheap

Getting them free from the vet or pharmacy is about as cheap as it gets IMO.
