I think with members being scattered all over along with shipping being expensive and much of our gear being bulky items it makes giving stuff away tough unless some one is local. There's a trust factor involved for recipients paying shipping since there would be no buyer protection. I could see scammers coming in giving stuff away for shipping only then disappearing.
I used to be more trusting but the Internet has changed that :crying-face:
