Recently, my tank went through a whole range of problems, including an invasion of dynos, which I finally eradicated almost completely with, among other things, a good UV treatment.

I had lost practically all the corals, invertebrates and so on.

I finally restored the parameters and started reintroducing easy corals to see how they would behave, and the response was good.

This week I had the great surprise to see a duncan that I had " domped " at the back of the rockwork , thinking it was dead, starting to pop out some polyps again, but thet are all white. I placed it beside another duncan that i just bought, and he seem to love it, the polyps are coming out more and more.
can he survive and regain his

colors?

Some duncans are just naturally white/beige - My Duncan I had before my angels took advantage was pretty much beige with minimal green.

I would think it needs to recolonize its zooanthellae algae and will regain its green coloration back in time.

That’ a what think, but will he do it by himself or do i need to help it, and how?
so far i just give him a good spot and hope that mother nature will take care of it

Nothing you can do other than giving it light and possibly spot feeding it (small mysis or similar) to help it along.
