Yesterday I was putting new corals into my tank and all my fish were going crazy being scared especially my tang and I think maybe he scraped his side on a rock and want to know if that is what y'all think or if it is of bigger concern. It literally just looks like a white scrape on his side it's super small and it's near his front right fin and it looks like maybe he also got a little bit of it on his fin idk really but it just looks like a scrape from what I can see but I would a second opinion. And if there is anything I need to do. He seems perfectly fine not acting any different and spends his day eating algae off the rocks and also eats and is super active when feeding and throughout the day. Fed this morning and he seems perfectly fine just has the mark.

He is the only tang in the system if that helps

This is a scrape or tail strike if another tang is present. With this scenario, it should heal on its own as saltwater fish heal quickly however keep an eye on it for healing and not becoming infected or sore which will warrant treatment in a separate tank using seachem Neoplex or Kanaplex in a separate tank or container.

That is nothing of any concern. I added a Purple Tang 2 weeks ago and my WT Bristletooth looks like someone sanded 2 1/4" areas on both sides of his body. Get used to it, Tangs and other larger fish get bumps and bruises all the time, especially when feeding. My Tang is almost completely healed, and things have settled down but I'm waiting for round 2.
