Since I upgraded my lights and the oversized pump put too much flow in my 45 gallon I was able to convince the wife it was time to get a bigger tank. Bought a used 75 gallon and was given a 30 gal tank for free. Resealed the tank, gel coated the stand, and silicones the ballast in the sump. Still waiting on the overflow box since the tank is not drilled but I’m hoping to have the plumbing done this weekend. Any ideas on the size of the return pump I should get at a reasonable price?

I bought a reef octopus Varios 2 for my 75G, haven’t swapped it yet though. Currently have a Danner Magdrive 5 that is LOUD as heck.

I spliced my media realtor pump into the return, think it’s closer to 1000gph. Seems to be working pretty good but will definitely look at into those. Started the swap yesterday at 11am and finished 5am this morning.
