Worm I cannot identify

I can't confirm based on what I see, but I think there's a good chance it's a peanut worm. I had one in my tank for years. They're good guys. If that's what it is, then basically there's a sort of "trunk" that the part you see is attached to. The trunk (the main body of the worm) doesn't move around much. It mostly stays where it is and the worm sends its proboscis out through the substrate to look for food. The proboscis can extend to many times the length of the trunk, but it can retract fully when the worm feels threatened.
If you want to dig around you may find the trunk. I only found my peanut worm 2-3 times when I was moving the tank. He lived for years. I didn't see him during my last move though.

I really think this is what you have there. The way it reacted to the light tipped me off first. The eyes and general appearance looks right. Wonder what the #reefsquad thinks?

Great camera view. Appears to be predatory in nature. Quite possibly related to planarea or dorvillea. 400+ species in just those two. Keep an eye on its eyes but maybe not remove it just yet. See what more it does and please do post again. The length is hard to establish an estimate, maybe include a finger or quarter, dime... to dimension it accurately.

It is a predatory worm. I would trap it and remove it.
You can make a worm trap out of a small, plastic water bottle. Cut the top off, flip it over and push it in the bottle. I would tie some fishing line to it so you can pull it easier. Place a small piece of food in there. I would use something like a tiny piece of shrimp. Or, if you have some frozen mysis.
