I recently got a beautiful WWC jelly bean chalice. I would say it is one of my "dream" corals and one of the final in my collection. Yes, I am coming to stop.

I am concerned about the coloration. It includes orange, red, and green. It does not have any blue as far as I can see. Will it ever develop the blue if my frag was absent of that color? If not, I may ask the seller [a friend] to trade for a piece that has all the colors... that was what he promised it would have anyway.

It "should" develop the blue, but if there is an option to get a piece with all the colors initially I would always suggest going that route. It can be really frustrating waiting for a color to show up, and it might not be as prevalent in the final colony.

I was actually told that the coral had all the colors in it. I even saw a WYSIWYG pic of the frag, yet I did not know any better at the time. Two weeks ago at a LFS, I saw a WWC jelly bean chalice colony about the size a a fist and was amazed to see so much blue in it. Fantastic!

Thanks for the input! This information is good to know.

My Jelly Bean has been such a slow grower for me, unlike my Avatar Chalice. It is gorgeous though.
