Approximately one week ago I noticed a slight pinch on the mantle of the blue Maxima. The two Maxima are growing quickly so I figured this might not be PMD, well it is. The pinch progressed over the coming days.
@OrionN thread on PMD convinced me I needed to intervene in a timely manner.
There are 3 Tridacna in the tank, two Maxima and one Hippopus. Only one Maxima is displaying PMD. Both Maxima are attached. Rather than stress out the clams I just pulled the rock, clams and all, and preformed the 30 min freshwater bath. Post treatment clams are doing well with improved mantle expansion.
I will treat all the clam with no symptoms prophylactically.

Slight pinched mantle noticed on the right side of blue Maxima.

Freshwater bath 30 min, water brought to temp of tank.

You aren’t the only one. I had to treat PMD from some of the new clams, too.

It’s likely a small-clam issue. Glad it’s resolved!

Beautiful clams. Here's wishing it a full recovery. I'm thinking of trying one in my IM 20. I lost all of mine when I moved tanks but I found a couple very large polyclad flatworms. The 20 should be pest free.
Go ORA if possible. BRS and Algae Barn, or Queen Corals for Crocea. If money is no option Pacfic East for Squamosa.

Good luck!

Also, am I the only one who can’t see the pinched mantle in the first picture?

Makes me paranoid my maximas might have PMD and me never notice it

Edit: never mind. I am blind, I see it on the far right, thought it was just the trick of the angle and sand
