I found some shrimp in my freezer. I will thaw it and chop it up.
It's easier to chop still frozen IME. A heavier blade works better.

I think you'd need to drill your tank or overflow? Refugiums are part of the sump to reduce nitrates by plant absorption. as for stand alone, it would have to be connected to your system to remove nitrates. so not exactly sure of 'stand alone' part
My refugium is separate from the sump, but I have it set up high so it can drain back to the display. Water is pumped to it and drains back by gravity.

Wild Goji pellets.
That is why the Hawkfish isn't eating. Hawkish are carnivorous fish, they need meaty foods. Mysis, brine, LRS stuff, etc.
You are trying to get a carnivore to eat something totally unnatural for it.
The NYOS Goji pellets are for "ornamental saltwater fish". ie...herbivores. I looked at the ingredients of those pellets. They'd be better off for freshwater fish like goldfish, etc to be honest.

Ah great.. it's what my LFS told me to use, I'll start using LRS then. Is it worse for nitrates?

Good morning and happy Tuesday!

Humanity is acquiring all the right technology for all the wrong reasons. R. Buckminster Fuller

Go back 20 years in time, what do you notice? iPhones were not a thing yet, MySpace was the social hangout for online, and if you asked people to make something with Ai they would call you crazy. Every year we see the rise in new technology, and new ways our society becomes more advanced, but at what cost? With the rise of social media we have noticed a decreased attention span across the board. Kids are sucked into iPads over using their hands to play with blocks. While technology has been great it is also can be negative to us if used wrong. Today, let's use technology for the right reasons vs wrong. Maybe put the phone down today and just enjoy your surroundings. Maybe you can use your phone to text someone an encouraging message or order someone some flowers today. Let's be good stewards of technology today!

Good morning, all you sexy Smorgers...

Clearly, I've been absent from here and missed about the last 24 pages. You all have been busy.

I've had a lot going on and more than I care to type or have time for right now. I try to live life one day at a time but the last few ganged up and beat my tail! Today is a new day and will be a significant one for me. I shall share more tomorrow because I want to make sure part of this day goes as planned.

Hope you all are doing well and dealing with whatever comes your way with a smile!
