Oh totally, the more bacteria the better!

So here's an update, I asked my LFS guy and he said to dump half bottle of bio spira and I added a branch with bacteria on it. Here's my set up. Will be testing my water on Sunday and hopefully be able to get a fish or shrimp.

You will know if its working when u see a huge spike of ammonia, which you should be able to see sunday, depending on how fast the bacteria is working, it can take 2 weeks like mine or 8 weeks, every tank is different keep in mimd

Update:
All my parameters are looking good. Added a firefish and a crab. Pretty exciting! Would like to add some corals, but idk when I will be able to or when I should.

Wow looks good! give it time for corals, because the levels have to be stable. Give it a month for the tank to fully establish

Wow! They're pretty! I am getting mine Friday depending on my levels. My firefish and crab are doing great! Also starting to get growth on my live rock.

Thanks! sounds good, u might want to get a snail or shrimp to clean the rocks

Got 3 snails, another crab, and an emerald today! Found out I have vertmeid snails (sp?) on my branch, so they are an essential to controlling them.

Ugh!!! I heard you need to do a few water changes to get them out. Good luck!

Nothing to worry about on those diatoms Kasik64. Part of the end of the cycle.

AndysReef check out manhattanreef for frags local. You meet some great people and pick up good deals!
