I did want to order from GreenLeafAquariums but they don’t ship to Norway, they do ship to countries inside the EU but sins Norway isn’t a part of the EU, then they couldn’t ship to me.
They needed a document that was 12 pages large that they don`t have. :(

KNO3 Is fertilizer and could be used in a bomb so it`s regulated quite hard.
So, guess I’ll have to go for a finished product. I do however have fish in QT atm ready to move in to my tank soon, so I hope I don’t have to dose over time. :D

Got to check out your tank build and your youtube channel, like the format of your videos keep them coming ;):D:cool:

Oh man, yeah, that could be a problem! Check around, finding food grade/pure kn03 may be possible still.

Thanks for checking it out! I just make the videos for fun and to document my process :D

I used neonitro to get my nitrates off zero with the hope of stopping Dinos. I got it up to 5 or so with the product. I’ve increased feeding and have been able to stop dosing. Dinos also went away - no way to know why! Color of corals definitely better now - I feel like that correlates to some nitrate.

I have always measured 0 on nitrates in my systems, and I have been wondering why some corals have kept their color great and others didn`t.
it looks like nitrates are more important then what I ****.
So, guess I’ll need to increase it and monitor it more then what I have done, I have always measured CA,MG and ALK but haven`t cared to much about PO4 and Nitrate since I don`t have a lot of algae in my system and corals did grow and looked good. :)

Regal Angel fish

I have just gotten news from my local shop that they have gotten a Regal Angel fish in for me, It`s from the indo and is small, looks great and eats a lot.
So, when I am home from work again I will need to setup my QT tank and get the fish, are the Regal angel sensitive to cupramine? Anybody had them in QT before and what tips do you have for me? :)

Nutrient deficiency

I have a problem getting my Nitrates up in the tank, and my corals are suffering because of it.
I feed 5-6 times a day and dose aminos every day, but still I can’t get to bump my nitrates up.

The tank has gradually gotten worse and worse, It`s more or less impossible to get KNO3 in Norway after Breivik blew up the government building with that stuff.:eek::rolleyes:

I did buy 2 x 250ml bottles of Brightwell Neonitro and added it today as the description said and I got an instant improvement on my euphyllia corals with in 1 hour it opened up again.
But I used 95ml of the bottle and still it didn`t show on the test. So, I need something stronger and easier to get a hold of.
I did try to get calsium nitrate or sodium nitrate but same as with the potassium nitrate, I can`t find it.

I can get Haifa Multi-K Reci at a local gardening shop. It does say that its’s Potassium Nitrate but with low sodium content. Can I use this? Or should I try to get something else?
I need to go to a lab or something to get it here in Norway so won’t be easy.

Here you can see a frag of one of my old corals. It`s loosing tissue and are fading away in colour. It has been doing this for a few months no it has started to accelerate. :(
