So,I have a small frag tank 24x24x8,I want to go LED,since chalice,just LOVE LED's.

But since the tank will only have about 6 inches of water in it,and its not very wide x length combo,how many LED's do I need to light this tank.I want a 14k spectrum firm.

If you DIY you would need about 24-36 XR-E LEDS driven around 700mA. This would give you over 250 PAR depending on optics. For 14K I would go with 3 Royal Blue for every 2 Cool White.
