My green slimer seems to have grown a little bit in the just over a month since had it and my green stylo that accidently snapped when had hand in tank has re-grown polyps on the little nub on frag plug so that's great news.

These 2 are in temporary position just under halfway up towards the light so will move them higher in the coming week I think ^_^

Also, some complaints on np controller. I haven't had an issue ... Yet!. I'm praying it stays that way. I would like to get a t5 hybrid kit. T5 in my own opinion grows coral very well. Leds feels like they bring colors out better

Just looked in tank after lights out and cleaner shrimp absolutely loaded with eggs/ shrimplets or whatever they called idk ^_^
Took video an hour ago and look in tank now and shrimp released them and tank snowing lol.

Seen tank like this many times before but first time noticed shrimp loaded with them lol, must be thousands lol
.but guess in wild they release thousands and maybe do mass release with other corals and shrimps ,crabs, snails as better odds as most end up food for others lol

Little bit if interesting Imformation about skunk cleaner shrimp for anyone who interested ^_^

It's very difficult and expensive to raise shrimp larva. I did try. I managed to go 14 days until they were all gone :(

Can only imagine how hard it would be to raise the larvae.
Only experience I git raising any aquatic life is freshwater live bearers live plays, guppy's, molly etc and remember the fiasco first time I seen the baby fry in tank, was Christmas morning and was just feeding the fish before the 2 hour drive to my aunties house where all family was having Xmas Dinner and noticed lots little tiny babies and noticed the other fish eating them and as was new to keeping fish and didn't realise how prolific breeders platy's were I thought I was a brilliant fishkeeper so got the breeding box/ nursery box out and remember spending such a long time trying catch them all and was 60 odd of them all while the Mrs saying if you don't hurry up im not going your family's house for Xmas Dinner pffft.
Long story short ended up buying another 160 litre tank ( I think what I keep seeing getting referred to as a 40 breeder and put all fry in there and my original 6 platys soon became hundreds the little bleeders buy as they all inbreeding had lots deformed with one I remember it's tail was actually at side of its body nearly coming forward to front of it's face so thought I know I will get them to decent size and take to lfs and make a small fortune as I paid £ 2 each or 6 for £ 10 and after few months I had 100's of them,so went lfs feeling very proud of my achievement and thought half price of £1 a fish I will get or at least 50 pence each but nope my dreams got quickly dashed by the lfs owner after he says they such prolific breeders his always having babies he stopped trying to save them and just let the fish eat the baby fry and often someone coming in the store like I was and give them him for free so ended up managing to secure a container of £ 7 fish flakes food for all of them except kept like 10 and before I knew it I had 2 x160 litre tanks full jam packed with platys, guppies and molly's,lol and stopped trying to save them and just let the mother give birth yo the fry in main tank and what managed to hide and survive was ones I kept and rest got eaten lol

Sadly, i bred guppies and mollies to feed my oscar, lion fish and ribbon eel. My mom cried, called me savage. So i sold my guppies and mollies for 1 penny to 10c each. People bought them to feed to their fish.

Sometimes it gets difficult in our own heads on the ethics off things but simple fact us things eat things, yeah in nature they got to hunt food and we just plop in tank for them but in my personal opinion once we've took fish put the ocean to put in our tanks then we already lost on ethics, and If feeding live food to reef fish and it will benefit our fish then I think that's OK aslong as the fish isn't endangered that will be the food but I battle with ethics quite often tbh but it is what it us ha ha

My mom just hated seeing those pretty fish turning into food. So, frozen shrimp it was!
I wanted to add salt water mollies to the reef. As the fry would be food for everyone.

I kind of wanted to get freshwater ones and acclimate them to salt.

Yeah I've been tempted to add male and female molly to my tank and fry be food for all fish and maybe corals and good algae eaters also .

Well I think maybe the little black bugs I first noticed shortly after put my lobo in tank are now eating my green slimer polyps buy cant see them caused any damage as of yet and been in tank 5 weeks and after a week I noticed them always at base and around base of coral but never on it but now see them hanging on for dear life and skitting from one polyp to another but strangely enough it looks like some white bugs the same shape are attacking the black bugs lol

The white pods that ate on the pink epoxy at base of green slimer look like mysis shrimp to me,but unsure if these are the white ones that are eating the polyps of the green slimer but also attacking the black bugs.

Can see the white bugs in this video attacking the black bugs

Can see just how many of them there is all around the base and on the rocks ,I know I see them near all my corals and on rocks nowhere near any coral ao maybe they can survive without eating a coral ( like I see some say in threads about aefw or black bugs that just wat sps and remove all sps and starve them out,but I'm pretty certain I introduced these with a lobo months before first sps got put in my system, )
But started a thread yesterday and vetteguy said only way get rid of them is interceptor or Dr gas something or other but unsure I want to treat tank this way as I've read that will kill all pods and worms and the such from a few threads buy one poster in thread I started says will only kill copepods and not worms or other pods, but up until 8 hours ago I seen no visible damage from these black and white pods but stupidly used a coral feeder and squirted water at it from few cms hoping to blow some these bugs off, well pretty certain blew 0 bugs off ( must have some kind of hook to stay on coral ) but now 8 hours later I see one of the new growth nubs gone completely white like bleached/ dead sps go and 50% the poplys still retracted where as all polyps always out lol so probably speeded up the damage to the coral and now may have opened the door to all pods to start nibbling on it if it starts to die pffft
So will see how things go and if need treat tank for these bugs then so be it but then going have buy some light and start up a coral qt as still lots corals to buy for this tank and no point eradicating them to only introduce them on another coral frag if dont qt lol an d hopefully threads I've read of others using interceptor and didn't eradicate them aren't true or they didn't dose righto or something but we shall see

That is a lot of black bugs to kill. Sorry they turned out to be dangerous.
Cheers but it's ok,and I always have option to add interceptor or that Dr g's stuff but little bit hesitant if I'm honest.

Ups and downs like a roller coaster, mainly just running smoothly for me so far so I'm happy with that, and only really been the 3 torches that's gone south ( maybe from these little bugs but I will never know) read quite alot threads these past few days and reports of them eating lps also and as I think came in on my lobo then might be but idk.

Also read the larger black bugs that interceptor doesn't do nothing but the smaller black bug it eradicates but I don't know which I have,or maybe I have both ha ha .^_^
