Hello, I can finally claim I have a tank. The display tank it's 100cmX50cm and the sump is 70cmX40cm, I decided to put 9kg caribsea live sand just so I can have a nicer look. I have 20 kg of dry, I think ceramic, rock and 10kg of pukani live rock. For lighting I have the maxspect 160w and for flow I have one gyre xf220 and one jebao SW-8, as for now I'm happy with flow, but if not enough I have another jebao to contribute. It's been cycling for only 2 miserable days and it's already filled with life, I've seen some feather dusters, there's some mushroom corals, unluckily, some aiptasia and I guess different type of filter feeders. I put 50ml of seachem stability for the beneficial bacteria and my LFS gave me two bioptim to feed the bacteria, supposed to give one 15 days after the installation and the other one 10 days later. The salt I'm using is the coral pro salt and I have a bubble-magus curve 5 as my skimmer. I also have 10 bio cubes in the sump, where I plan to have a refugium. There's still some stuff I need to get, but as for now I'm very happy. The cycling is going to be eternal and will crush me not to be able to add some more life. The LFS is going to gift me 4 soft corals frags and I would love to hear some suggestions, I was thinking about gorgonians, organ pipe and zoanthids. As for now, I want to get a one spot foxface, a pair of maroon and a dwarf lionfish, but I don't seem to get the fuzzy dwarf, which is the specie I want to get and instead can only find zebra lionfish, do you find any big difference between them? Thank you very much.

Looks good but I wouldn't recommend getting lion fish until your tank is ether very very stable especially if there are two of them. Goodluck with the cycling it sucked for me and I was lucky to have a snail hitchhike on the live rock to entertain me.

I don't plan to get two lionfish. Thank you for liking the aquascape, I redid the aquascape, it looked like this at first ñ.

Tank looks good. Take you time and make sure your tank is ready for your new inhabitants.

If you put a full size lion it will limit your inverts and smaller fish. They have been known to eat shrimp and other surface dwellers along with smaller fish.

Try to make sure you livestock list will all get along or have enough room to mark their own territory for hidding

I know that the lionfish will limit inverts and smaller fishes, only reason why I'm not sure if I want to keep them. What inverts are safe with lion fish?

I cannot say if there are any safe. Usually if it fits in their mouth it is open game. Maybe someone else has experience with an invert coexisting with a lion.

My lion ate everything that was smaller, on the floor or not. I have seen reef tanks with them though so it isn’t impossible.

I still have like a month before adding anything, the scape is the one from the first post. I will keep an eye on any weaknesses on the structure.

So I've been setting up the Maxspect ICV6 and I've connected the gyre but I fail to connect the led razor. Does anyone know if the razor can or cannot connect to the ICV6? Sorry but my camera is terrible

I'm having doubts of having or not a dwarf lionfish. I think I'd prefer keeping small fishes and invertebrates. What do you prefer? The tank is 100x50x50 and the stocking as for now is: one spot foxface and a pair of clownfish, right now between maroon and ocellaris, depends if I will or I'm not going to get the dwarf.
My main issue is that there's no dwarf fuzzy lionfish, which is really the only variety I like. I would like to keep some gobies and dragonets. I'd love to hear some little reef safe fishes, but no blended because I wouldn't like it competing for food with the foxface.
My other question is if my tank is suitable for a pair of goby and pistol shrimp. The sand is caribsea live sand and it's a really shallow sand bed, but perhaps I could concentrate the sand in one area?
I also would like to know what corals you recommend for the scape I have, the light I have is the maxspect razor 160w and I have one gyre and one Jebao SW-8 for flow. I'd love to keep Montipora, acropora, bird nest, etc, but would also like softies and lps. I would really appreciate if you helped me and indicated where you would locate it.

My tank is almost done cycling. It's decent sized and the first fish that's going in it's a small pair of maroon lighting. They're around 3cm long. Any recommendation as to how to keep small fishes? I was thinking of first having them for like a week in a small breeding box so I can be sure they're feeding. Also, is it a proper time to introduce a pistol shrimp? I'm thinking of having the goby later, once the little shrimp has an established tunnel. I'm not really fond of having snails so I was thinking of just having a few hermit crabs. And what are your opinions around gorgonians (photosynthetic)?
