I'm considering pulling that rock and quickly scrubbing it off without damaging the encrusted coral. The emerald crab is currently on that rock so hopefully he will make a dent. My wife walked by and wanted to know how I paid for that green bubbly coral, I told her it was a freebie haha.I have green bubble algae too. Preiodically I remove coral and rocks that can be removed and scrape or scrub all the bubble algae off. I also use syphon hoses and suck out bubble algae. Finally you can buy an emerald crab/s to eat some of them. That is not an option for me since I have seahorses but it might be an option for you.
At least bubble algae doesn't sting or eat coral.
