Hello Everyone,
This is my first attempt at saltwater but not aquariums. I set this tank up a week ago using sanitized dried live rock, wet live rock from the LFS, some small chunks from an established tank to seed the live rock, and 40 pounds of live sand. I have a homemade 20 gallon sump with an BH90 skimmer and Coralife 15 Watt UV. Last night I added enough Fritz-Zyme Turbo Start 900 for 100 gallons even though I’m only at 60 gallons max. My plan is to give it a week to make sure everything is cool with my levels and introduce a clown.

So I added a refugium and it is growing Red Ogo very well (I have a separate thread for it) space is at a premium in my cabinet.

I upgraded my lighting to a SBOX 32" Basic - 3 Channel that is ran on separate timers. I have added a bunch of coral that are doing great and my water parameters are very good and stable. The next thing I am looking at is a ATO that somehow fits into my cabinet.

Here is a better picture of the tank.

So I added a very low tech but completely functional ATO to my sump using a hook I had, a 1.3 liter container, a bulkhead, and a float kit. It works like a charm and allows for expansion to add additional water containers. It sets behind my tank out of sight and is very thin for the space.

I decided to replace the tank with a new one. So I found another 40 Gallon Breeder for $54 at Petco and I purchased an Eshopps overflow and a 3/4 bulkhead. I drilled, taped, then painted the back of the tank. I did have to trim the plastic to raise the return to where I wanted it. After I acquire all of the plumbing pieces that I need I will transfer my water, fish, and live rock into a Rubbermaid container while I re-plumb my tank.
