Hello Fellow Reefers,

New to this site but been on others and have been reefing for a couple years now Just puchased this 45 gallon Cadlight shallow reef tank been wanting to do a shallow tank for a while now so finally pulled the trigger on this one, I currently have a SCA 150 gallon fowler setup, but im moving and doing a downgrade to the 45g for now. So im gonna transfer some livestock to the new tank. Dimension on the tank are 36"x24"x12"Stand is 36" tall piano white.

Mainly gonna try to go for a mixed reef style setup and try to keep it simple with the equipment, gonna keep some of the stock equipment that came with the tank on and then upgrade as i go since i have to move out soon. Also can transfer over some equipment over from the other tank.

Here are some pics of the setup and progress. Thanks

Update: Got everything moved over from my old house and the new setup didn't really need a cycle since I used all my old rock and some water from my other tank. Aquascape could use some work but I'll get to that later. Also purchased an RMS mount to use my Radion.

Very nice! Did everything you kept survive the downsize and move?

Yeah I pretty much sold most of my coral before the move, since I wasn't gonna get a new tank right away at my new place , but when the deal came up for the new tank I just jumped on it.lol So mainly just had to move my fish over and a few frags. No issues so far.

Form or function: Do you consider your rock work to be art or the platform for your coral?
