Hi, I bought a used 60g cube a few months ago and have built a setup around it. I’ve noticed one of the seams has some bubbles and isn’t looking great.

looking for suggestions on manufacturers for a replacement 60g cube (24x24x24) tank. Just the tank! I’ve seen planet has one for ~$850. Hoping for cheaper than that.

thanks!

Is it a Marineland tank? My 93 had a few bubbles in the seams also. They went away when I filled the tank and it’s been running 8 years without issue. YMMV

I’m not quite sure. Based on the look, overflow style, and my proximity to planet aquariums manufacturing facility, I’m guessing it is a planet. The guy I got it from was the second owner and it’s made a few moves supposedly.

when I say bubbles, I mean a line where the seam appears to be separating. I keep hoping one morning it will just be fixed lol

You could try to reseal it. Or since you are close to them maybe you could pay to have it resealed by them? on of the lfs near me will reseal aquariums and ive done it before also. Not alot of fun id pay someone else to do it before I did it again especially on that size of a tank.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
