Going to bed wondering if I saw my 2 years Red Coris today... Didn't see him 1:30 before lights out. Maybe he had a long work week ...

Checked for him with flash light in usual sleeping spots.

Checked the floor. And power heads to. Nada

Made a catastrophic mistake....

Refilled my oxydator, I believe because it was too full, it dispersed 100ml of 12% peroxide.

About 16x the recommended daily dose. Which is 1ml per 10 gallons so mine would be 30ml. But of 3%.

Corals instantly closed up.



The good! nothing has peeled, euphyllia, meats, zoas, all look okay again. SPS is pale, low pe, and some brownish.

This was during light hours so I believe that worked in my favor.

I've lowered lights to reduce stress to 10% and plan to let them recover for a few weeks. Going up slowly week by week.

Did some big stir the sump and water change and after a week we are still very high nutrients.

Topped out the Hannah checker for phos and nitrates are pretty ok.

Yeah thats flashing eek.... I should dilute it, but o my lawd.

Crazy part is, sps is still alive. the peroxide nuke didnt kill all thats good. Lights are back up to 60%.

Will get some gfo and biopellets humming along and get back in a good range.
