Been wanting to grow for a while now! It all started about 15 years ago when I was a kid and had no money or idea how to take care of my 20 gallon salt water tank lol. I alway had red algae, used tap water for top offs. And gave up. About 3 years ago I got the itch and started doing research on how to do it right, equipment, reef care, ect... started a 29 gallon with one AI prime some hang on back equipment and filled it with coral:) then it was to small.. gave my sister my fresh water fish and moved into the 55 gallon In my living room added another AI prime, HOB reef octopus skimmer (witch is awesome!) got tired of going to the local fish shops for water and wasn’t have good results with their water, I wanted to be better and in more control of my water conditioning so marine depot 6 stage clean water was bought. Reef tank is now thriving! And over stocked with coral.. need a bigger tank.

Found a 150g that needed new silicone. Bought it. Failed to refinish the tank the right way. The stand was falling apart. Sold it doubled my money lol.

Last month we bought a house and I needed to move the tank but I want bigger! So I found at petsmart a 75 with a stand on sale I know not much bigger but It’ll have to work. Couldn’t afford reef ready to chance drilling it so I’ll have to try a HOB over flow witch I’m worried about :/

Now I am tasked with trying to clean my old sand for reuse and finding a way to get more rock:/ any ideas? Live rock or dry rock??? Will dry rock cause a cycle?
