Dude you need to learn how to talk to people. Don't tell people that you know more than they do. Many people have been in this hobby longer than you have been alive. You are 13 if I recall. If you currently have two tangs in a 29, you will not listen to anyone else's advice, because you obviously haven't in the past. That is why your not getting much help.

sorry if you think i am being rude but what i was trying to say is most threads asking what i can have in a tank that size say no tangs no triggers pretty much only the nano fish are fine and only very few.
but when i talk to anyone in person or watch videos tangs blue jaw triggers and all other thing like that are being kept in bio cubes i know that is not good fore them but 55 is fine if you do not overstock it. and they look tiny in a 90 gallon. i know i will be overstocking it if i go with a list like this but trust me i can keep up with maintenance. also i do not think i know more than you or anyone else but i do know saltwater tanks. i just like to get opinions that are not going to make me feel bad that is why i was asking that people who think that would be ok or have kind suggestions. just not the ones who think i should scratch everything and go with 5 0r 6 nano fish no tangs and no fish over 4 inches thank you for your response though.

I'm sorry I'm not really trying to call you out but. You just stated that even though it was 125 gallon as a minimum 90 is fine. Right there you are claiming to know more than the sites that sell these fish and nearly every member on this forum. It is not about maintenance it is about the well-being of the livestock room to swim room to hide room to live as natural a life as we can give them.

i just did not say that quite right but most of the time when you see dwarf angelfish they are in less than 75 gallons right and tangs are a common choice for 75 gallons i believe that these rules are meant to be bent not broken so remove about 1/3 of the stated minimum tank size and that is the real minimum tank size for most fish but some must be kept in bigger than there minimum tank size no mater what like flying gunnard.
so alot of the fish i list are minimum tank size 125 gallons but if taken care of are ok in slightly smaller.

I think the issue is where you put your post. Most of the people who are fish experts keep a pretty close eye on this thread.

And yes, those are good rules of thumb as far as fish sizes go. If you start small they will be ok in a smaller aquarium. You just have to accept that eventually they will outgrow your tank and that you will either have aggression issues, stress related sickness, or need to give them away.

But your not taking into the space some like to have. Tangs are like wrasses to me and the longer the tank the better, as they'll cruise it all. Also temperments come into play due them not having the sufficient space, sometimes causing even more aggression.

That is a great point. Tank dimensions and rockscape also come into play. For instance, my 120g is a 6ft tank with a fairly minimal rockscape so I can get away with some fish that wouldn't do well in a more traditional 4ft 120g tank.

A regal angel will likely eat zoas.

A scott's fairy will behave aggressively toward the flasher wrasses.

The trigger, blue tang, and goatfish will outgrow the tank.

Maroon clowns get big and mean. Pick a different clown pr in a tank that size with that many fish.

All fish can jump, especially when overcrowded, a secure top is necessary.

Add fish slowly and test parameters frequently to make sure the system can handle the bioload.
