I totally missed this because it wasn’t posted under the Emergency Thread where it should have been.

Have you tried the less expensive substrate from Australia? Fromdownunda sand?
You only have a grain of sand moving, I've got fish swimming all over the place. Time to take up stamp collecting, much more relaxing.
I had a grain of sand move from one area of my tank to another.
I'm concerned on what to do.....
Should I do a total tank teardown?
Should I do a massive water change?
Should I get all new powerheads?
Should I scoop out all the sand and do a thorough rinse?
Do I just replace the sand?
If I replace the sand should I replace 100% of it? 50%? 25%?
Please help
It was supposed to be hyPERsalinity, not hyPOsalinity... That's probably the biggest issue I see here. The extra day does help but the PO/PER can have far reaching ramifications that one can only begin to imagine.I QT'ed the sand in hyposalinity for 71 days.... and now I'm reading it needed to be the full 72 days!
I'm very upset with myself
I just purchased a Mini Aussie Red Heeler hybrid...Just purchased an Aussie Red Sea Purple Tang.
The grain of sand that moved is now MISSING this morning.
I'm fearing the worst......I think the grain of sand has died behind my rockwork
You’re a member of the 5000 club, you should know it might be “behind” the tank. You know SUISAND!!!The grain of sand that moved is now MISSING this morning.

Wait, what? That's not supposed to be concrete? Does everybody use sand? Uh, just curious. hahaAre you saying that you don't glue your sand down?
I'm a terrible person and hobbyist for going to bed during an obvious crisis with my tankOh your —————— now! You should have acted on all the advice you received. Puh
I disagree. It’s time for a RIP clean.Based on what Eubulides of Miletus had to say I think you're fine if it is only one grain of sand that is out of place, but if it is a heap of sand then the Sorites paradox kicks in and the consequences can be problematic.
