I acquired an Acan in early February. When I placed it in my tank it bleached bc of intense lighting. Moved it to a more ideal spot and it is almost completely recovered, however there are now 4 distinct mouths surrounding the center mouth. I have only notice them with one center mouth and wonder if it’s just growing or about to split? Anyone know? My readers have has not revealed an answer.

Got any pics for reference?

Here's one splitting its @sixty_reefer

Maybe mine is about to do that. But there are 4 additional mouths in addition to the middle one. No signs of it pinching in yet. Thanks for the pic.

Here is a video after I gave it some Oyster Feast. I count 6 mouths

Hmmmm that doesn't look like an acanthophyllia to me....can you get a pic of it under white lights?

Looks more like a trachyphyllia under that light...which have multiple mouths.

Its not a Trach. Its an Acan. Just fed it, so it looks a little wierd.

Can you add a pic of it just normal under whites to get a better look of whats going on?
