Adding a Harlequin Shrimp Female

I already have a male. He has been in the tank for around 8 months. If I add a female I found at my LFS, will they fight, pair, or is it hit or miss?
He very clearly has a white stomach and she very clearly has colored plates underneath.
Any experience?
