My understanding is it prevents increase in Sodium Chloride when using with 2 parts solutions. It also has replacement amounts of Potassium and Iodide. I am not promoting anything however. 10% weekly water changes are suffient in most cases.

Yes, the high PH booster is a bit of a beast to make and use. It is a very clever idea (thank you Randy), but you need to be very careful with handling it. I had it eat right through the pharmed tubing in my Masterflex. That has never happened to me before, lol. After that, I moved to CalRx and kalkwasser.Thanks for the claification
