They have one of these at the LFS and I really like it. I have a 120 gallon mixed reef w/ lots of high end zoas and chalices. I have read articles in the past on these being reef safe. Has anyone had any experiance or knowledge of these fish? Are they in fact reef safe? or is this an Angel that I will not have problems with?

Ive had a few dwarfs, none of them (except the potter....so far) have been reef safe. I always suggest putting them into a tank with them as a priority (i.e if they eat some corals, oh well).

Sorry i cant offer a better opinion, but that's been my experience. Once they find something they like, its going to get picked on.

Really? Who wrote it? Link?

I'm weary of someone writing an article about any fish being reef safe... because there's no such thing!
Mixed experience for me. One was a terror one was a model citizen.
I've never kept C. acanthops before, but I had the same experience with C. argi, which is a similar Centropyge.

Ive kept a flame angel, and coral beauty..Both of them never touched a coral..also ive kept a Koran angelfish in a mixed reef and it never touched coral

I think it depends on

1.The fish, each fish is differant like people
2.How much the fish is fed,so it isnt tempted to eat coral
