Aggression?

Hey everyone,
I have a 197 litre, 4 ft aquarium which is around 2 and a half months old now and I currently have a yellow coris wrasse, scopas tang, two banggai cardinalfish and a pair of clownfish. Yes I know some of you may think it’s overstocked and the tank doesn’t have enough space but it’s currently a baby and I have an experienced mate in the hobby for 15+ years who also has a mixed reef of similar size with a convict tang and gold ring tang as well as a few other fish. Anyway back to the point lol. After adding the banggais all was going well and there was nothing wrong really but as of today I have realised one of them has been staying away from the other especially considering they were meant to be a pair and I had someone sex them for me (but they said no guarantees the sexes are accurate). I will attach photos so you guys can see whether there is a male and female.

Basically when I fed this morning every fish came up and ate as usual but the second smaller banggai stayed at the back of the tank behind the rock work which explains the bad picture of him/her (looks female?) but I found it weird as they all usually come up and eat. Is there anyone able to tell me whether it’s aggression or what is causing this please because I’m still fairly new to marine coming from african cichlids haha.

I’ve found it’s usually some type of stressor , whether that be stocking, parameters, aqua scape or even time spent in the aquarium. Those fish like to hide in the spines of urchins in the wild as protection , maybe try to create a space where it feels secure ? Try different foods as well

Could it be the recent change of food? I changed a few days ago from ocean nutrition formula one to ocean nutrition formula 2 to fit the tang’s needs more.

I’m still new so I have no idea how to do that haha I thought my food would be fine for them.

It’s just frozen mysis and selcon you buy off amazon it’s a vitamin enrichment also the fish go nuts for it

Hey, update I don’t think it’s the food that’s causing it, I have noticed the same banggai has now got a bit of fin tip on it’s back fin so now it’s barely visible if you look from a normal angle.
