I’ve had a couple air of snowflake clownfish for 2 weeks I went and bought a new purple stripe dottyback yesterday, the dottyback was out right away and seemed comfortable even ate this morning but the small clownfish keeps chasing it around, it doesnt bite it just chases it. I put the clown in an acclimation box but I was wondering how long I should leave him in there? I have a spare heater that I put inside but I have no filter would that be fine?

How large is this tank? Generally its best to add fish when the lights are off. It may help to feed more to reduce aggression as well. Additionally, reshaping your rocks will help with aggression as it will trick the clown fish into thinking that they are in a new environment which will detour aggression towards the Dottyback. Another method that might help is to use a mirror to distract the clownfish.
