AI Hydra

Hey Guys, what do you think about AI Hydras? Are they sufficient lighting for a reef tank? does any body have anything bad to say about them? I am helping a friend find LEDs and he does not want to spend much. I want to give him great full spectrum without going over his budget, and I definitely do not want marineland or anything. sufficient wattage would be great lol.. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK

They are great! I have 2 on a 120g mix reef and everything is loving it!

Nice! Thanks guys. I know AI has a mounting kit as well for the Sol. Will the Hydras also fit on this mounting kit? For some reason this guy that wants them doesn't want me to hang lights...he wants it to look "tight" lol.. I get it but I need to find a good mounting kit then.. so does the AI Mount kit work for both the Hydra and Sol?

I purchased 2 used Sols and was not able to mount them from the ceiling. I found this T Track product that works great and is a fraction of the cost for a rail system from AI.

Buy Incra T-Track, 36" Length at Woodcraft.com

I used the 36" T Track for my 40Breeder, worked great.
