I'll be putting four AI SOL fixtures over my tank next week and next some recommendations on how I should acclimate my corals.

A little about my tank:

The tank is 20" in depth
Currently there are 2 250W Metal halides over the tank
Because of the tank dimensions there is a spot in the middle of the tank that has not been getting much light over the past two months and should have had 3 metal halides

A little about my live stock:

My tank is focused on LPS (Hammers, Frogspawn, Chalice, Acans, Blastos, etc) but I do have a few softies (leathers, zoas, yumas, etc) and a few SPS. The only SPS in my tank are up high on two rocks.

I'd rather take it really slow with the lights but I don't know what "slow" would be.

Thanks in advance.

Slow would be like 20 or so percent. Start it off low and slowly raise it. That's one thing that makes dimmable lights so awesome. BTW I had to do the same thing with my lps dominated tank and AI SOL light. :) Still not up to 100 percent and don't think I ever will be. Only running about 60.

DO YOU THINK TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS ARE MORE HELPFUL OR HURTFUL TO REEFING?
