Looks great! I like the branch rock. I had the 30L once upon a time. I like the 36” length on it.
Ah, cheers thank you! As you know IM discontinued this tank a few years back. I always wanted one, as I loved the dimensions, and happened to find one second hand on eBay of all places. So far so good!

Yup, it was such a good footprint in my opinion. I believe they have the 40L now which is similar.

Alright, thanks! When planning this tank, I knew the branching rock work would give me some trouble regarding coral placement. Really the only issue I have faced at least in regards to this is that reef glue failing causing my coral to plummet into the sanded. I have lost a torch or two because of this while out of town, and not being able to reposition.

A fellow reefer suggested Polylab Glue - so I may give that a try should this happen again.

What glue are you using?
Currently using Seachem, and the glue holds really well for corals placed on horizontal surfaces. The issue with branch rock work is most of the placement is at an angle. I knew this would be somewhat of an issue going in, but here we are...Evan at an angle the glue held for around five months, I just didn't catch it in time being out of town.

I haven’t used that glue. Is it a thicker gel? I like bsi or the brs glue which honestly might be bsi. You can also use one of those epoxy sticks.

Another thing I found helps is the glue activator spray.

I built all my rocks structures with those three items.

It runs fairly thick, but usually I have to cake it on for it to finally stay in place. It does the job, but I am definitely in the market for something different. Thanks for the suggestions.

Love the look of the branch rock. I have some in my sump. Just not quite sure where I want to put it.
ah, thanks very much! I spent some time at a LFS piecing it altogether. I am sure they thought I was a weird one, but wanted to be sure if fit the tank before spending loads of money on rocks haha.

The branches have been fun, but as you can imagine it is not the most practical in glueing or coral placement.

I can only imagine. I was thinking of using mine for zoas. My last has a tank with a big branching structure that is covered in zoa

branches covered in zoas would be stunning. I actually purchased a few frags a few weeks ago (king Midas, circus freak) and placed them on some bottom branches. I haven’t had much luck with zoas in the past (one of those corals I could never figure out lol) but made some changes and hoping for different results with these!

If you do get your branch rock in place, I’d love to see some photos in the future.

I need to order some mortar to put them together. I ought to pull them out and try to get a layout done and see what I can do with them.
