Any updates on the Maven?

I was thinking of going the GHL Ion Director Route tired of waiting for Maven. The only thing though is Ion Director dont test for ALK but I have Alkatronic for that.

How come nobody considered GHL? I am curious

GHL KH Director is the ALK tester.

I know the GHL KH Director does Alk and the ION Director does Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium (not sure why to test that), Potassium and Nitrate. That is an option. Of course, we need to use standalone.

I really don't want to buy a trident.... that would force me to take the apex off my garage tank and switch it with my main tank (after I just switched it over to hydros) Give us the dang tester already!

I did not look into it. I already have the HYDROS and I liked the way it's supposed to work if it ever happens.

I don’t like to bash Hydros but Coralvue I don’t trust. Coralvue was Kamoer distribution for awhile. They no longer support Kamoer devices aka KH Carer. I do think Maven will come out eventually but perhaps not the same as propesed. Most companies keep this quiet

I held out two years waiting for the ION before going to APEX. When it finally came out the reviews (longevity of probe, actual sustainment cost of fluids) were so mixed I still wouldn’t pick up an ION today. I’m still interested in the concept but will wait for some better reviews before considering a switch.

I started with a Reef Keeper and went to Apex after that finally died. I still have one on my garage tank but I I switched my main tank over to HYDROS and like it so far. If the MAVEN actually comes out and does what it's supposed to, it'll be nice.

I think a lot of people, possibly including myself are over it.

At some point the hype of the MAVEN and everything it supposed to be able to do wears off. Especially when it starts to look like it's never actually going to hit the market

I was excited for it and I’m over it too. I was ready to dump Neptune for Hydros but glad I didn’t buy into the hype.

Seems now it was just to deflect customers to their ecosystem when the Trident NP was announced. Still currently using that marketing tactic of the maven to attract new users of “someday”.

I'm Guilty! I switched over from APEX to HYDROS on my AIO build. It's still controls my tank just fine but my APEX did too. Without the MAVEN, I could have stuck with Neptune and not had to buy more equipment and control everything from a separate app

If we look at the Hydros X10/iV with regards to Alk testing, it essentially does the same thing as the Alkatronic. Even uses the same reagent.

I wonder if Hydros expected to be able to copy what the Trident ACM and NP do, and then discovered it's not as easy to copy it.

Maybe they've run out of stories to tell or they don't want to dig a deeper hole to climb out of ? I'm sure if there was anything positive or encouraging they would be here to post. What is there to say when there's nothing to say.
