Anyone else have lazy tangs???

So I have a Regal tang in my 80g who will not eat algae. He swims around happily, and will eat his seaweed, but will not touch the GHA I had, or any I get on the glass or rocks. Do you think that he is just not hungry due to I feed him everyday and he get seaweed? I am just wondering since most tangs are supposed to eat algae, from what I have heard anyways. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

I usually don't see Regal Tangs pick at the rocks all day long like all the other tangs. Bristletooth tangs go at it none stop, grazing all day long. My sailfin tang does graze a little bit, but he mostly just sits there and waits for me to feed him or throw in a algae sheet.

Figures...... I am debating on trading him in for an achielles. Do you know if they are grazers?? Or should I just keep my regal and let him be lazy?

With all honesty, the beautiful archillies tang belongs in the ocean. They are far too sensitive for about 98 percent of the best reefers to care for. They need a very large tank as well. With that being said, you could trade him in at a LFS for another that suits you. There are some cool bristle tooth tangs if you research them, but I don't know what size tank you have or what size tang you could accommodate and keep healthy.
