Given build quality and mounting height, no to Reef Brite. Orphek Sky Blue gives you the same spectrum as Reef Brite for less. Quanta OG Pop gives you the same spectrum as Ref Brite for less than Orphek. If you're feeling froggy, the 24" AliE populargrow 470nm bar would very much complement the 9X's spectrum for $42.45 and free shipping.

Quanta and Quanta Pro - https://www.quantareef.com/shop
AliE - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32843725804.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.734a4c4dCDTpDn

You have some options.
Thanks! Quanta was the one I was thinking of, but you can't go wrong with the AliE bars. Do you know what optics/lenses are used on the AliE bars, 90? 120?

@telegraham @minus9 my kessils are 25/30 cm from the surface of the water. what do you think of these Led gnc bars? what would be your choice between orphek and gnc?

I think the GNC bars are nice, but haven’t used them. You were using the Pro, so what were your overall thoughts of that fixture. They look like quality lights to me. My guess is they would give you better spread and blending than the Orpheks. Plus, GNC is a local company for you, right?

Just to revive an old thread BRS did a ton of Par metering w 1 vs 2 ap9x. Can't remember the 1 ap9x setting but for 2 and mixed reef (sps, lps, softies) recommend 10" off water, 13" each from side of tank to middle of light, light settings 20/50 v-50 r-10 g-0. They did like 200 par measurements to get that data and this had the most even spread w no more than 25% loss from mid to edgesof tank.

So for specs:

I have a 160 gallon Red Sea reefer running two Kessil AP9X. I want to keep both SPS and LPS in this tank.
Both lights are about 10” from the surface of the water.

I’m about to put two of the same lights on my waterbox peninsula that’s 55” long. Can you please tell me how long your tank is and what is the spacing in between the two lights? Thank you
